Disclaimer: This map does not mean I excuse any german crimes, which I am very well aware of, it is just a comparison to understand
better what happened.
Imagine the USA would´ve lost or would´ve been divided as Germany in its borders of 1937,
after the second world war, how would it look like and what would´ve happened?
1. The West of the USA would be democratic and free, but influenced by an other super power
from the other side of the ocean.
2. The Midwest would be a socialistic regime and a puppet of another huge communistic super power.
3. All Americans from the East Coast would´ve been expelled and replaced with
new peoples. The regions are lost forever. The heart of the nation (Washington, first 13 colonies),
would´ve been officially abolished and soon forgotten by the coming generations (in Germany
it is Prussia that was dissolved 1947, the state that united Germany 1871).
4. Texas-Oklahoma would become an own state, these people start to deny they were ever
US-Americans and do not want to reunite, even if they could, even tho extremely important
events of history for the nation happened there (The Alamo) and all people identified as Americans
all the centuries before.
