I think if u support a war against your rival country with no good reasons, and volunterary fight for your country, it's kinda patriotic.
I v seen some French people and I feel like they are much more patriotic than Japanese people. They like to compare themselves with Britain and Germany.
I m from Okinawa Japan. Me, personally, I don't like Japan much, I hate the gvmt, I m not proud to be Japanese. I would never fight for this country or neither support a war against other countries. We learned in history, that we shouldn't throw your lives for your country.
I v never learned or memorised my national anthem or I v never sang it when they have to play it such as a graduation celemony. Not many ppl sing that song cuz some are against.
I don't buy any products that has a Japanese flag on it. I would never hang a Japanese flag on anywhere. But I would buy stuff that's are made in Japan to support our economy.
Overall, I still feel glad to be born in this country, our education,,living standard, and glad that they make me realise how stupid it is to be controlled by the gvt and the mass.
In the end, I didn't choose to be born in Japan and I didn't chiose our gvnmt to make mistakes in history. I think the culture and the education build patriotic sentiments over all.
Germans are not very patriotic tho, because of the Schuldkult of the past.
Well patriotism is for me a feeling of identity, every person needs an identity, so why not the culture you live in that makes you special? And especially Japan is one of the best countries mankind has ever made. Japanese are hard-working creative and nice people.
I´m sure you love your country a lot!
But the people don´t hate them for being foreigners, they have the fear, our peoples and culture will die, because especially the muslims don´t want to become Germans, but more build islamic colonies, and what I saw in some parts of our cities is really bad...like Berlin-Neukölln.
But when you say anything against that, you´re an evil Nazi, tho you only want to save your land.
I also heard Swedes were not allow to show the swedish flag on a closs photo with muslims, because the christian nordic cross offends them. Wtf, are we that far already??
